The Ultra Carbon offers all the advantages of a carbon bat. Despite being a fast bat, it is exceptionally well-controlled and forgiving, even on technically flawed shots. It is lighter than comparable bats without carbon and, of course, very robust too.
However, the Ultra Carbon also offers something you could not previously expect from a carbon bat: a responsive, soft feel on impact. You can play passive shots, such as backspin, effectively. It also has optimum elasticity, which promotes play with maximum spin as well as powerful offensive shots (this means that the blade is not completely rigid, but does not flex too much during hard shots either).
This blade has a head-heavy weight distribution. Compared to Chinese blades, however, this blade has a shorter, wider hitting surface (approx. 155 x 152 mm, as is usual with SpinLord).
The blade consists of 5 veneers and 2 carbon inserts with an overall thickness of approx. 6.1 mm. The outer veneers are Limba, the intermediate veneers are Koto, and the core veneer is Ayous. The carbon inserts are made of the thinnest and softest type of carbon fibre.
Like the Ultra Spin and Ultra Allround, the Ultra Carbon has a handle end made of hard EVA foam for a comfortable grip. The build quality of the blade is impeccable.
The handles are of normal thickness. The anatomical handles are not quite as arched as those of some other manufacturers' blades and are therefore hardly any thicker than concave or straight grips.
Depending on the rubber chosen, this blade is suitable for all playing styles, from All+ to Off+. However, it is significantly too fast for controlled all-round play, even with slower rubbers. In principle, it can be combined with almost all types of rubber, including short or long pimples.

The playing surfaces (outer veneers) of this table tennis blade must be sealed to prevent damage to the blade.
If they are not sealed, the rubber adhesive can seep into the top veneer, causing it to flake off.
Furthermore, the top veneer may fray when the rubber is removed.
