The SpinLord Dornenglanz II is more than just an updated version of the original Dornenglanz.
Although the pimples are almost the same size, the Dornenglanz II is a completely different rubber. The pimples of the Dornenglanz II are slightly wider than those of the original and are also cylindrical in shape. The rubber compound is medium-hard and highly elastic. Like those of the Dornenglanz, the tops of the pimples are slightly shiny, but less tacky. Technically speaking, the main difference in the rubber compound between these two rubbers is that the Dornenglanz II has a lower proportion of natural rubber in its compound.
The Dornenglanz II offers a more versatile playing style than the Dornenglanz. The Dornenglanz is more effective for blocking, but the Dornenglanz II is better for most other shots. The Dornenglanz II is excellent for chopping and attacking, and even for blocking, it is not much worse than the Dornenglanz. It is easy to control, and all balls played with this rubber have a very flat trajectory.
The Dornenglanz II is also faster than most of our other long pimple-out rubbers; it is slightly faster than the Dornenglanz and slightly slower than the Feuerstich.
The Dornenglanz II is perfect for skilled players looking for a faster, harder and slightly more dangerous rubber than the Agenda or the Blitzschlag, without sacrificing versatility. High-class players will mostly use the Dornenglanz II for chopping as the higher speed minimises the opponent's reaction time. The very flat trajectory of balls played with the Dornenglanz II also makes uninterrupted attacks against it very difficult. The Dornenglanz II often forces the opponent to play weaker, more passive strokes, which can be used for sudden attacks.
Not to mention that the pimples of the Dornenglanz II are much more durable than those of the Dornenglanz, although not as unbreakable as those of the Blitzschlag.

The values given for speed, spin, control and disruption are based on our own tests. They may therefore differ from the manufacturer's specifications.
Some values may vary, for example the weight of table tennis blades.
OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.
For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.
Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.
Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
Please refer to the instructions for using the rubber adhesive.
