A rather slow, short-pimpled rubber with a medium-hard Japanese sponge.

You can check availability and our current prices here. This price only applies to purchases made directly from us. We only deliver to selected countries.

The Degu II has the same top sheet as the Degu — they are absolutely identical — but has a slower, harder "Made in Japan" sponge. This high-quality, elastic sponge does not have any built-in speed-gluing effect. In fact, this rubber uses the same sponge as our SpinLord Tiger.

Although the sponge is medium-hard rather than hard, you will be amazed at how much harder the Degu II is compared to the Degu!

This sponge makes the Degu II ideal for chopping and blocking (1.0 mm) or for an all-round playing style (1.5/1.8 mm). Short placement of blocked balls is effortless, and undercut balls are easy and effective to play. Degu II is our best short pimple-out rubber for these two kinds of strokes: the balls have a very flat bounce and can be placed with great precision. The control values of the Degu II are amazingly high overall. The Degu II is also more dangerous for the opponent than the Degu, but weaker for looping. It is also possible to smash the ball with the Degu II, but this rubber's power is clearly much lower than that of our other short pimple-out rubbers.

We developed Degu II primarily for players who previously used classical short pimple-out rubbers with harder sponges from Chinese brands. Compared to these rubbers, the Degu II offers better quality and more spin, and provides a more versatile playing experience. The control is also noticeably higher, and while the overall feel is not completely different, these players will find it very easy to switch to Degu II.

Degu II is also a good option for players who have played with inverted rubbers before and want to try a short pimple-out rubber to improve their control on the backhand side.

The values given for speed, spin, control and disruption are based on our own tests. They may therefore differ from the manufacturer's specifications.

Some values may vary, for example the weight of table tennis blades.

OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.

For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.

Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.

Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
Please refer to the instructions for using the rubber adhesive.
