This solvent-free sealing varnish is ideal for table tennis blades. Sealing the blade is essential to ensure that the rubber can be changed without causing any damage.
The product comes with a printed instruction leaflet.
This varnish is very thin, allowing for easy and even application to the blade. Although one coat is sufficient for the blades we offer, applying several coats of varnish is also no problem.
A sufficient number of sponges are included for applying the varnish: 4 small sponges and 2 large foam sheets that can be cut to size. Simply apply the desired amount of varnish to the blade and spread it evenly using the smaller sides of the sponge.
100 ml of Ultra Seal sealer is sufficient for at least 30 bats.
Hazard and safety instructions:
Keep out of reach of children. Not for consumption. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. If it comes into contact with your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if necessary. Contact with the skin is harmless. Only use in well-ventilated areas.
Instructions for use: SpinLord Ultra Seal sealing varnish:
This varnish has a very thin consistency, allowing it to be applied easily and evenly to wood. Applying several coats is also straightforward.
For the woods we offer, one coat on each side is usually sufficient if you only intend to change the inverted rubbers occasionally. However, if you wish to attach rubbers with adhesive film to the blade or change rubbers frequently, it may be advisable to apply two coats of varnish, allowing a drying time of at least two hours between each coat. For blades with a very delicate top veneer (such as our Lion Earth DEF model), three coats of varnish may be necessary.
However, under no circumstances should you apply more than one coat of varnish to blanks that are already thinly varnished by the manufacturer. This applies to our Lion Absolute Intact, Lion Blast, Lion Carbozone and SpinLord MIG series blanks.
If the varnish layer is too thin, the wood will not be adequately protected. If the varnish layer is too thick, the rubbers may not adhere properly.
Each coat takes only approx. 2 hours to dry. If you wish to use adhesive films, please allow the final coat to dry for at least 24 hours. The longer you leave the varnish to dry, the easier it will be to remove the adhesive film or rubber later on.
A washable sponge is included for applying the varnish. Simply apply the desired amount of varnish to the wood and spread it evenly using the narrower sides of the sponge.
Please ensure that the wood is clean before treatment. Even small dust particles must be removed. After applying the sealant, remove any remaining particles from the wood’s surface before the varnish dries completely.
Seal the bottle immediately after use!
