The final version of the Leviathan: durable, dangerous, versatile.

This is the final version of the Leviathan, offering improved durability and quality.

The 1b version, which has a shorter lifespan, will continue to be sold while stocks last, but will not be produced again. The 1a version is no longer available.

In the Premium version, the pimple geometry of the Leviathan remains completely unchanged (the pimples are therefore very long and thin with a cylindrical shape). The grip of the flat pimple tops is lower than that of the Dornenglanz. The pimple tops offer a firm grip, but are not sticky. You can recognise the Premium version by the fact that the pimple tops are not foil-covered.

The rubber compound is medium-hard and slightly more elastic than that of the Dornenglanz.

The speed is slightly higher than that of the Dornenglanz. Thus, the 'Leviathan Premium' is a medium-speed long pimple rubber. It can be used both actively and passively, but is most effective with an active, varied playing style.

The ball trajectory is extremely flat, which is unpleasant for the opponent. It is also significantly easier to place balls precisely with the Leviathan Premium than with the Dornenglanz. This rubber is also less susceptible to incoming spin.

However, for passive blocks, the Dornenglanz is more effective. However, given its higher speed, passive, close-to-the-table play with the 'Leviathan Premium' works surprisingly well.

For active pressure pushes or 'chop blocks', the 'Leviathan Premium' is actually better than the 'Dornenglanz'.

Counter-attacks, wrist-driven attacking shots and smashes also work very well with the Leviathan Premium.

Another key strength of the 'Leviathan' is its suitability for undercut defence, which is particularly effective due to the flat ball trajectory.

The 'Leviathan Premium' is easy to play, particularly given its speed. It is always easy to predict how the pimples will react to the opponent's shots. This is helped by the fact that the pimples do not bend too quickly and the rubber has hardly any 'trampoline effect'.

Therefore, players who primarily defend against their opponent’s attacking shots with passive blocks, hoping to score the point through the disruptive effect of the pimples, should not use the “Leviathan Premium”. However, for players who actively use the pimples to set up their own attacking shot or force an error from their opponent, the “Leviathan Premium” is an excellent choice.

It will be of particular interest to those who have previously used rubbers such as the Dornenglanz II, Agenda or Sternenfall Pro.

All versions of the Leviathan have an identical cover and, naturally, the rubbers also look identical.
However, the values and texts on the cover are no longer entirely accurate.

The values given for speed, spin, control and disruption are based on our own tests. They may therefore differ from the manufacturer's specifications.

Some values may vary, for example the weight of table tennis blades.

OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.

For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.

Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.

Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
Please refer to the instructions for using the rubber adhesive.
