The SpinLord Ozelot Pro is an improved version of the original Ozelot.
This rubber is one of the fastest from China without 'factory tuning'. It generates plenty of spin and is easy to control.
New to the Pro version is the purple, medium-hard sponge, which has an approximate hardness rating of 44–46.
This sponge offers a very strong catapult effect and provides an unexpectedly high level of ball control for this speed class, even on passive and backspin shots. It also enables lethal spins. In all these respects, it surpasses the blue sponge of the original Ozelot version.
The Ozelot's top sheet provides more grip than most other non-sticky offensive rubbers, though it is not yet classifiable as sticky. It is also more elastic than comparable Chinese rubbers.
The Ozelot is perfectly suited to European playing techniques. It’s fast enough to attack powerfully yet still offers enough control for backspin shots.
However, it must be said that it doesn’t come close to matching the spin performance of some of Friendship’s highly sticky rubbers. However, compared to many other non-sticky rubbers, its spin is significantly higher.
This rubber is above average in weight. If there is one real drawback to the Ozelot Pro, aside from the higher price, it is its slightly higher weight (for reference, it’s comparable to that of Friendship rubbers like the Battle II, Bloom Power, etc.).
A comparison with the Tanuki Pro, which is manufactured in Japan:
The question naturally arises as to how the SpinLord Ozelot Pro compares with rubbers from Germany and Japan.
To be honest, one must say:
In direct comparison with the Tanuki Pro, which is manufactured in Japan and offered at the same price, the Ozelot Pro, which is manufactured in China, performs worse in terms of quality. While its durability is comparable, there is greater variation in sponge hardness. Additionally, the Ozelot Pro's sponge is quite delicate. This rubber is not suitable for players who want to retape it multiple times.
In terms of play, the Ozelot Pro is faster than the Tanuki Pro at the peak of the stroke, but the catapult effect — that is, the acceleration — is lower.
Spin values on topspins are very good with the Ozelot Pro, but slightly better with the Tanuki Pro. Conversely, the Ozelot Pro is easier to handle during passive play.
The Tanuki Pro is significantly lighter than the Ozelot Pro. This, combined with its superior quality, is why we recommend the Tanuki Pro in this price range — unless you dislike rubbers with a very strong catapult effect. In that case, the Ozelot Pro is definitely worth considering — even compared to German rubbers.
In a direct comparison with the more expensive Tanuki II, the Ozelot Pro is inferior in every respect except control.
Comparisons with other Chinese rubbers:
The Ozelot Pro is superior to other non-sticky Chinese rubbers in terms of playability.
However, compared to more affordable SpinLord rubbers, such as the Tiger II or the Irbis, the quality is no better despite the higher price: the sponge is more sensitive and there is greater variation. However, the differences in speed and spin are considerable: The Ozelot Pro offers more speed and spin, albeit with slightly less control.

The values given for speed, spin, control and disruption are based on our own tests. They may therefore differ from the manufacturer's specifications.
Some values may vary, for example the weight of table tennis blades.
OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.
For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.
Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.
Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
