The SpinLord Keiler II features the unchanged top sheet of the Keiler combined with the new sponge of the Lion Vanquish.
But why?
While the SpinLord Keiler was used very successfully in women’s table tennis, even at an international level, the sponge was a little too soft and slow for men’s professional table tennis.
Enter the Keiler II, which now features a fairly hard sponge with a hardness rating of approx. 45–47 degrees and excellent speed.
Nevertheless, the ball contact is moderately hard overall and definitely softer than with the Waran II. This is due to the Keiler II's slightly longer, softer pimples.
The Keiler II is also more elastic and, overall, even more dangerous than the Keiler, and these points are even more evident when compared to the rubbers in the Waran series.
The sponge in the Keiler II is currently one of the best manufactured in China. Many pimples from China and other European brands use simpler sponges; the best sponges are usually reserved for inverted rubbers. You’ll notice the difference between the Keiler II and other rubbers straight away: the Keiler II simply has more power and a more disruptive effect. Yet, thanks to its enormous versatility, it remains well controllable, even with passive strokes.
Until now, it was generally thought that medium-length pimples were only suitable for players in the lower divisions. With the Keiler II, however, we are presenting the first medium-length pimpled rubber designed primarily for players in the higher divisions.
Of course, the Keiler II is nowhere near as fast as the Waran II and is less suited to powerful finishing shots.
However, in addition to the disruptive effect, spin generation is generally better. Very strong players can play an effective backspin defence with the Keiler II and perform topspins with a shortened arm movement. However, its most important strength is its powerful counter-attack and blocking game.
The Keiler II can be used for both forehand and backhand play.
Its weight is within an acceptable range, though it is not as light as the Keiler. It is similar in weight to the Gipfelsturm, but lighter than the Waran II.
The pimples and sponge are both durable.
Unfortunately, the higher price is unavoidable. The Keiler's top sheet was already the most expensive of all outermost pimpled rubbers, and now the sponge is too. Consequently, the Keiler II is one of our most expensive 'Made in China' rubbers – but also one of the best.

The values given for speed, spin, control and disruption are based on our own tests. They may therefore differ from the manufacturer's specifications.
Some values may vary, for example the weight of table tennis blades.
OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.
For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.
Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.
Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
