In terms of gameplay, the Strahlkraft Premium is largely unchanged from the previous version, with only slight increases in elasticity and softer ball contact.
As the rubber specifications have not changed, however, we are retaining the product description largely unchanged.
Visually, nothing has changed either, meaning the two versions are indistinguishable.
The main differences are:
– The Strahlkraft Premium is more durable, almost indestructible in fact.
- The grip is now better and consistent across both rubber colours.
- The rubber base is now slightly thinner, making it easier to comply with the maximum permitted thickness of 2 mm.
The pimples are cylindrical in shape and feature an unusually wide, conical reinforcement at the base. This increases the catapult effect during play and makes the rubber more unpredictable for opponents.
The pimple tops are flat and slightly sticky, rather than ribbed.
Overall, the 'Strahlkraft' is one of our grippiest and slowest long-pimple rubbers. It is particularly well-suited to players who prefer an active, disruptive style of play at the table.
The 'Strahlkraft' enables unprecedented spin variations. Players who attempt to confuse their opponents with short, wrist-driven movements will benefit enormously from it.
When played passively, without wrist action, the rubber offers great control, but is not as dangerous as some other long pimples. Conversely, passive blocks can be placed extremely short and flat as the rubber takes a lot of pace out of the shot. The more actively you play with the Strahlkraft, the greater the disruptive effect.
In general, the Strahlkraft produces strong spin on all shots, including blocks, backspin returns and attacks.
The sponge version of the rubber is even better suited to classic backspin defence. This version is characterised by a flat ball trajectory and a high disruptive effect whilst offering good control. The medium-hard, high-quality sponge is elastic and relatively fast. Compared to the SpinLord Agenda and Sternenfall Pro sponge models, the Strahlkraft with sponge is more dangerous but also more challenging to use. It is primarily an option for very strong players.

The values given for speed, spin, control and disruption are based on our own tests. They may therefore differ from the manufacturer's specifications.
Some values may vary, for example the weight of table tennis blades.
OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.
For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.
Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.
Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
