The SpinLord Sandwind is a new type of anti-spin rubber.

This rubber can be played almost like a tacky inverted rubber. It enables very flat undercut balls and even topspins, but in addition it can easily deactivate the spin applied by your opponent.

Its speed is similar to that of the SpinLord Marder (it is slightly faster due to the harder top sheet), making the Sandwind a defensive rubber with enough speed for aggressive shots.

In fact, the sponge of the Sandwind is the same as that of the Marder. This means it is a slow sponge, but not a dampening sponge.

Consequently, the Sandwind is slightly faster than most other anti-spin rubbers.

The top sheet is much more elastic than you would normally expect from an anti-spin rubber, but the surface has been sanded to reduce friction.

The Sandwind cannot be compared with frictionless Antis at all. It should instead be rated as a rubber for players with backhand problems who are looking for an easy way to return every ball.

But is this rubber dangerous? Not in the sense that the ball will drop dead behind the net or have an unpredictable flight path. However, this rubber is very effective because you can easily deactivate your opponent's incoming spin and add your own spin to the ball.

Overall, the SpinLord Sandwind is ideal for weaker and average players, as well as better players with a poor backhand, and penholder players who only use their backhand in emergency situations.

The values given for speed, spin, control and disruption are based on our own tests. They may therefore differ from the manufacturer's specifications.

Some values may vary, for example the weight of table tennis blades.

SpinLord Sandwind

OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.

For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.

Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.

Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
Please refer to the instructions for using the rubber adhesive.
