SpinLord rubber adhesive Ultra Fix (250 ml) – new version

You can check availability and our current prices here. This price only applies to purchases made directly from us. We only deliver to selected countries.

This new version features an improved German-made bottle!

The new flip-top cap makes the adhesive much easier to use.

The adhesive itself remains unchanged and is still sourced from Japan.

Ultra Fix is a viscous, solvent-free rubber adhesive based on liquefied natural rubber that offers very strong adhesion.

For cost reasons, this adhesive is only available in 250 ml bottles.

Two large, soft foam sheets (27 x 19 x 1 cm) are included for applying the adhesive. These can be cut to size as required.

We have received feedback from many customers who say that these are considerably better for applying the adhesive than other types of foam. Therefore, only these are now included to avoid complaints.

The key properties of the adhesive are:

– virtually odourless and non-toxic, as well as being VOC-free
– offering very strong adhesion
– easy to use The adhesive spreads easily and dries evenly.
The adhesive can be easily removed from rubber and wood, including any residue after fitting.
The adhesive offers excellent playing characteristics, increasing spin due to the rubber’s increased elasticity (though it does not increase speed).
It protects the rubber and minimises the risk of blistering.
It is the best choice for bonding individual sponge layers to top rubbers.

Our Fast-Fix adhesive is also very good, offering even easier use and requiring less cooling in high temperatures.

However, Ultra Fix has a higher bonding strength and is a significantly better choice for many difficult-to-fit Chinese rubbers.

It can only be used on sealed wooden surfaces.

Detailed instructions for use are included with the adhesive.

When unopened, this batch has a shelf life until 31 December 2027 if stored at a maximum temperature of 20 °C.

In warm conditions, we recommend storing the adhesive in the refrigerator. The maximum application temperature is 22 °C. If room temperatures are higher, the adhesive must be cooled.

Hazard and safety information:

Keep out of reach of children. Not for consumption. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. If it comes into contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if necessary. Contact with the skin is harmless. Only use in well-ventilated areas.

Instructions for using SpinLord Ultra Fix and Fast Fix rubber adhesives

These adhesives are almost identical and suitable for all types of table tennis rubber.

However, these instructions only apply to the application of inside- and outside-pimpled rubbers with sponge to a blade.

With every delivery of Fast Fix rubber adhesive, you will receive:

1. A bottle of adhesive.

2. Sponges for applying the adhesive.

3. These instructions for use.

Only fit rubbers onto sealed blades.

Cut the sponges to a suitable size before use; we recommend a length of 4–5 cm.

Shake the bottle before each use. Shake it particularly vigorously before opening it for the first time. If the adhesive has been left standing for a long time, check that it is still suitable for use before applying it. Initially, a small, thick plug of adhesive may come out of the bottle; do not use this.

Apply a small amount of adhesive to the wood. Spread the adhesive evenly using the shortest sides of the sponge. Next, apply a small amount of adhesive to the sponge on the rubber sheet and spread it evenly.

The general rule for this adhesive is that it is better to use a little too much than too little. Any excess can easily be spread over the wood or flooring and will be absorbed by the sponge. If there is too little adhesive, it will not spread properly and will instead form strings or clumps.

Please check the adhesive film for any unevenness. Even small irregularities can result in a dent appearing in the flooring later on. If possible, remove any unevenness before the adhesive dries.

Leave the adhesive to dry until it becomes transparent (it is white initially). This takes about 20 minutes. Please note that the drying time of the adhesive can vary significantly depending on the type of sponge used.

You can now apply the covering to the wood.

For warped or difficult-to-bond rubber, apply two to three layers of adhesive to the rubber as described above. As a rule, two layers of adhesive on the rubber are sufficient. On wood, two layers of adhesive are almost always sufficient. Only for rubbers under very high tension is it recommended to apply a third layer of adhesive after a longer drying time. However, for surfaces with extreme warping, more layers of adhesive can be applied.

The bonding strength increases significantly with each additional layer. The surfaces can be removed from the wood without any problems.

Please only use the sponges once with this adhesive.

Tip: We often use 1 cm-thick foam sheets measuring 27.5 x 19 cm to pack your order. These foam sheets are also excellent for applying the adhesive — we even prefer them to sheets designed for this purpose. However, thinner foam sheets, which we occasionally use for padding, are not suitable.
