The SpinLord Degu is a short pimple rubber that differs significantly from short pimple rubbers from Chinese brands due to its soft design and high spin values.
The texture:
The pimples are very wide, the distance between them is rather small, and they have a slightly conical shape. The pimple heads are finely ribbed, while most Chinese pimples have a coarse ribbing. In addition, the top rubber is softer, more grippy, and more elastic than most pimples from other brands.
The powerful red sponge has a hardness rating of approx. 38, making it very soft as well. It offers a good built-in speed glue effect.
Overall, the SpinLord Degu is our softest short pimple rubber.
Another striking feature is the very low weight of the rubber.
Playing characteristics:
More than any other short pimple rubber, the Degu plays like an inner pimple rubber, as the ball contact time is significantly longer. This also allows for strokes with slightly longer arm movements. The Degu is very reliable in blocking and counterattacking, effortlessly defuses incoming spin and also allows for topspins.
This rubber also allows players to execute shots reliably, which is important for pimple players, but it lacks a little power for very hard shots.
Although the disruptive effect is less than with some other rubbers, the short and flat ball trajectory of this rubber is difficult for the opponent to judge.
The speed of the Degu is in the controlled offensive range.
The Degu is very easy to play and therefore suitable for players of all levels.

The values given for speed, spin, control and disruption are based on our own tests. They may therefore differ from the manufacturer's specifications.
Some values may vary, for example the weight of table tennis blades.
OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.
For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.
Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.
Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
Please refer to the instructions for using the rubber adhesive.
