This rubber is a medium-fast, long pimple rubber for blocking and disrupting play at the table, which can also be played without using the wrist. The pimples are similarly shiny and slightly sticky as with the “Dornenglanz,” but very wide (and also very long).
They are arranged vertically rather than horizontally. Tip: The Hai uses the same rubber compound as the Dornenglanz. However, due to the significantly wider pimples and the special pimple structure, its durability is significantly higher (pimple breakage usually occurs, if at all, only after more than seven months).
Compared to “Blitzschlag” and “Dornenglanz III,” the “Hai” is faster and more dangerous, but also more difficult to play.
Compared to Dornenglanz, Hai is slightly slower, but similarly dangerous and has different strengths and weaknesses.
The ball contact is medium-hard and thus comparable to that of Dornenglanz and Dornenglanz II. For example, it is softer than that of Sternenfall Pro, but harder than that of Blitzschlag.
In addition to active and passive blocking, the strengths of Hai are primarily counter shots and offensive disruptive shots. These shots are reliable with Hai and extremely effective at the same time. The disruptive effect is even better than with Dornenglanz for active disruptive shots, but slightly worse for passive block shots.
Overall, the Hai is one of the most dangerous long pimples. It is weakest in defending undercut shots and in mid-range play. The Hai is therefore not the right choice for classic defense.
The Hai is not an “all-round pimple” but a pimple with clear strengths and weaknesses. It is therefore not a pimple for beginners. Even experienced players need a few training sessions to really understand it and play to its strengths. We therefore recommend the Hai to players who train regularly and have sufficient experience with long pimples.
However, the Hai is by no means uncontrollable, as it does not have a difficult-to-control “bouncy ball effect” and the pimples do not bend unexpectedly.

OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.
For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.
Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.
Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
