The top-sheet of the Irbis II is identical to that of the Irbis: it is medium-hard, very grippy (but by no means sticky) and very elastic.

However, the sponge is significantly harder and also significantly faster. With a hardness rating of approx. 44–46, it can be classified as medium-hard. In addition, without “factory tuning,” it offers an even stronger built-in fresh glue effect than the sponge of the Irbis.

Like the Irbis, the Irbis II also has an astonishing amount of spin, but not as much as sticky rubbers.

Instead, it has the necessary power for direct offensive play with hard counterattacks and finishing shots. It is also much better suited to wrist play than the Irbis.

The Irbis II is therefore a medium-hard, elastic offensive rubber for powerful European topspin play that focuses more on speed than spin.

However, the Irbis II cannot offer quite as much speed and elasticity as the fastest rubbers currently available, even if it is not too much slower.

On the other hand, it scores points for control. For such a fast rubber, the Irbis II is fairly easy to play and is therefore also suitable for players in lower leagues, unlike harder offensive rubbers from other manufacturers.

The main target group is therefore likely to be players who are looking for a fast and hard offensive rubber that is still easy to handle and does not require particularly clean stroke techniques.

The Irbis II is very durable.

At approx. 72 g in 2.1 mm for the uncut square, the weight of the Irbis II is above average. Therefore, combining it with lighter blades is recommended.

Some values may vary, for example the weight of table tennis blades.

SPINLORD Irbis II (both FH and BH)

OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.

For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.

Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.

Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
Please refer to the instructions for using the rubber adhesive.
