The SpinLord Marder III is a by-product of the development of the SpinLord Irbis. It combines the sponge developed for the Irbis with a strong built-in fresh glue effect (hardness approx. 38–40) with the topsheet of the Marder.

However, the Marder III does not achieve the speed of the Irbis, as the topsheet is significantly slower. On the other hand, the Marder III is more effective due to its slightly sticky or very grippy topsheet. In addition, the topsheet of the Marder III is softer and therefore more elastic than that of the Irbis.

Compared to the Marder II, the Marder III is also significantly softer when striking the ball.

In passive play, the Marder II is superior to the Marder III, but in active play, the Marder III has considerably greater offensive potential.

So if you value a very soft and elastic feel, like to play topspins with long arm movements, and generally prefer a long ball contact time, the Marder III is just right for you.

Incidentally, the SpinLord Marder III is one of the softest rubbers from China; only the Friendship Phoenix is comparably soft in terms of ball contact.

The Marder III is a pleasantly light rubber.

OX rubbers should be attached to the blade using an adhesive sheet. This is not included if you purchase a SpinLord rubber.

For rubbers with sponge, use a suitable VOC-free glue to attach them to the blade. Do not use glue sticks, adhesives containing solvents or any adhesive not specifically designed for table tennis rubbers.

Rubbers should only be attached to sealed blades.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that the rubber can be reattached multiple times. Depending on the type of sponge used, it may be damaged when removed from the blade, even with professional assembly.

Please also note that rubbers may warp to a greater or lesser extent depending on the type. Consequently, the amount of rubber adhesive required to assemble the racket varies from rubber to rubber.
Please refer to the instructions for using the rubber adhesive.
